Security operations around Baghdad are initiated by BOC

Baghdad Operations Command BOC announced on Monday the start of security operations for search and inspection in the areas of the Baghdad

surroundings.

A statement by BOC, obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the security forces have initiated carrying out pre-emptive search

operations aimed at tightening the noose on defeated terrorists and outlaws wanted by the Iraqi courts in the areas of Baghdad surroundings.

The statement went on, "With the assistance of intelligence agencies and services, units of the Sixth and Seventeenth Infantry Divisions took part in the security operation."

"The regions of Al-Maslah, Al-Ghaziliya, Tal Al-Kar, Al-Qadisiyah neighborhood, Al-Ahd Al-Jadeed, Al-Sultan, Al-Lawabdeh, Al-Shakriya, Shakha 3, Al-Mazraa neighborhood, and Al-Khayamiyat were included in the security operation," it stated.
