The Counter-Terrorism Service announced today, Thursday, the most prominent operations carried out by the service for the period from January 1, 2024, until December 31 of the same year.
A statement by the service received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the most prominent operations of the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service was the killing of the so-called (Wali of Iraq) and (8) of his most prominent assistants last October."
The statement also explained that "the number of operations carried out by the service reached 344 operations, and the number of those arrested during those operations reached 144 terrorists, while the number of those killed reached 70 terrorists, in addition to the destruction of 310 shelters.".
The Counter-Terrorism Service concluded its statement by "renewing the promise to the Iraqi people to make more efforts during the year 2025 to reach a safe and stable Iraq."
