JOC provides us with three axes of support, BOC affirms

Baghdad Operations Command-BOC confirmed Friday,  that the duties conducted in the capital belt are carried out in coordination with the Joint Operations Command-JOC, which supports operations from 3 axes, while it clarified the joints of The Intelligence Cell and its mechanism of work.
 
"JOC is very supportive to the work of Baghdad Operations Command, especially its duties in the areas of the capital belt," noting that "JOC provides us with available intelligence to support our units during carrying out their duties," said Baghdad Operations Commander Lieutenant-General Ahmed Salim to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
He added, "JOC provides air support, whether through the air force or army aviation for BOC units, and supports us in armed and unarmed reconnaissance," noting that "many of the duties that were implemented in Baghdad belt against ISIS terrorist hideouts through the air force were carried out in coordination with JOC”.
 
"The Joint Operations Command also supports us in terms of logistical support, as we have been equipped with a number of fighting wheels, and there is support in terms of engineering equipment such as barbed wire and wires that are used to set up wired barriers within the responsibility sector," Salim added.
 
Regarding the work of the Intelligence Cell, Salim stressed that “BOC includes an intelligence cell called Baghdad Operations Intelligence Cell, which includes all the intelligence services and agencies within the sector of responsibility and includes a representative from the National Intelligence Service, the National Security Service, and FIIA as well as and GSD,” noting that “This cell is run by one of our officers."
 
He indicated that "The duty of this Cell is to provide us with information from all the above mentioned security services," explaining that "the information available through this cell can be shared as needed."
 
He stated that "The Cell coordinates the work and duties among the intelligence agencies, intelligence operating within the sector of responsibility and the security units of Baghdad Operations Command.
