Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari discussed, today, Wednesday, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, securing the common borders between the two countries.
The media office of the Minister of Interior stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari met in his office today, Wednesday, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, and the Minister discussed with his guest enhancing cooperation and joint coordination in many important files, especially in combating crime in all its forms, exchanging information and expertise, and securing the common borders.".
For his part, the Turkish Ambassador stressed - according to the statement - "the depth of the bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries and the importance of intensifying joint efforts to serve the mutual interests of Iraq and Turkey."
