The media office of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani announced today, Wednesday, that the company (UGT) donated to provide a feasibility study to the government in order to deliver solar energy to homes.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received at his residence in London, representatives of the company (UGT), which specializes in renewable and clean energy."
The statement added, "During the meeting, the company's most important projects distributed in more than thirty countries around the world were reviewed, as well as prospects for cooperation with Iraq in its field of specialization, especially since the government is interested in the issue of investing in clean and renewable energy, within its programs for protecting the environment and confronting climate change."
The statement continued, "The company donated to provide a feasibility study to the government to deliver solar energy to homes, in addition to its current work in producing solar panels in cooperation with the Diyala General Company affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals."
