Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) announced on Monday the capture of a Daesh militant in Kirkuk, as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the extremist group's remaining networks.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), ICTS said the arrest was made following a coordinated operation leveraging precise intelligence and surveillance.
"The suspect was apprehended in Kirkuk province by one of our specialized units," the statement noted.
Simultaneously, ICTS forces conducted a search Ops in Anbar province, targeting a Daesh safe house that harbored significant quantities of explosive materials, the statement revealed.
