The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA declared on Thursday that a suspect had been detained in Najaf who was carrying counterfeit money.
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) was provided with a statement from the FIIA that stated, "detachments of the intelligence agency (Directorate of Organized Crime) were able to arrest a suspect carrying amount of money (Iraqi currency) in the of Najaf."
"The suspect, after being interrogated, confessed that the money he was carrying had been obtained from a printer inside his home that he uses for this purpose, and immediately judicial approvals were obtained, the house was raided and the printer was seized," the statement revealed.
"His confessions have been documented initially and judicially and was referred to the judicial authorities to receive his just punishment," it stated.
