Six individuals wanted in terrorism cases have been detained, according to a statement released on Friday by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency (FIIA), which is committed to fighting terrorism.
In accordance with the provisions of Article IV of the Anti-Terrorism Law, six wanted people on terrorism-related cases were detained by FIIA detachments in Baghdad Karkh after they initiated a qualitative operation based on intelligence data, according to FIIA statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
As per the statement, "the accused freely admitted during questioning that they were members of ISIS terrorist gangs and that they were getting small payments as a result of being members of those terrorist gangs."
In order to prepare them for their court appearance and appropriate punishment, the statement went on, "Their statements were taken and they were referred to the judiciary."
