Prime Minister: Importance of Benefiting from British Experience in Military Industries

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of benefiting from British experience in military industries, and increasing coordination on developments in the region, reiterating the need to adopt dialogue between various parties to establish security and stability.

The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received - at his residence in the capital, London - British Defense Minister Mr John Healey."

The statement added, "During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation in military fields and exchange expertise were discussed, as it was agreed to implement the joint declaration between the two countries in the field of defense and form a bilateral team to determine the principles of the agreement that will be the basis for drawing a map of cooperation."

The Prime Minister pointed out - according to the statement - "the importance of benefiting from the British experience in military industries, and increasing coordination on developments in the region," reiterating "the need to adopt dialogue between various parties to establish security and stability."

For his part, the British Defense Minister stressed - according to the statement - "his country's commitment to supporting and assisting Iraq in various fields," indicating that "Iraq today is witnessing a new phase that has proven its ability to confront various challenges, and its steadfastness and stability in the face of the changes witnessed by the region."
