Iraq Condemns Zionist Airstrikes on Syria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Zionist airstrikes targeting several areas in Syria on Thursday.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry said: "The Republic of Iraq expresses its strong condemnation of the airstrikes launched by the Zionist entity that targeted several areas in Syria on the night of Wednesday-Thursday, including the attack on Hama Airport. It also condemns the repeated incursions of the occupation forces into Syrian territory."

The Ministry added, "These attacks, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent civilians, confirm the aggressive expansionist approach adopted by the occupation government and represent a flagrant violation of international law and the national sovereignty of states."

MOFA continued, "The Republic of Iraq affirms its support for the brotherly Syrian people and calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop these violations, protect civilians, and respect the rights of peoples to live in security and peace."
