Capturing of a suspect in the murder of Al -Diwaniyah drug dept assistant director

The Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigation (AIFI) announced on Tuesday, the arrest of accused for the murder of Al -Diwaniyah drug department assistant director.

 “AIFI continues its security operation to follow -up organized crime members of drug traffickers after a clash with a gang involved in the drug trade with a detachment of al-Diwaniyah Drug Control Division, resulted in the martyrdom of the Colonel the assistant director of the Narcotics Department in the province and the perpetrator escape,"AIFI said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).

" We formed a specialize security task force and  after intensifying the intelligence effort, the security forces managed to capture the gang leader who is  responsible for the murder of the Colonel after setting an ambush and raid his home in Nahrawan district , Baghdad Province, " the statement added.

The statement continued, "His statements were initially recorded and all the necessary legal measures were taken against him."
