The Security Media Cell announced, today, Saturday, the destruction of a hideout for ISIS gangs in the Hamrin Mountains.
The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The operations of our heroic security forces are continuing in various areas of responsibility with greater momentum and qualitative targeting to pursue the elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs that are breathing their last breaths."
It added, "The Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a search operation in the Hamrin Mountains within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector, and during this duty, the forces of the service monitored a terrorist hideout with ISIS gang members inside who tried to attack the force carrying out the duty."
It pointed out that "according to accurate information from the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service in coordination with the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, F_16 aircraft raided this hideout and destroyed it."
The statement concluded, "The preemptive operations and intensified intelligence efforts had a clear impact in curbing the terrorist elements and purging the land of their filth, as our security forces succeeded in encircling the movement of the defeated terrorist elements and eradicating them from their place."
