The Omani national team reached the final of the Gulf Cup 26, on Tuesday, after defeating its Saudi counterpart, with two goals to one in a match held at Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Stadium, as part of the semi-final competitions in the Arabian Gulf Cup.
The Omani national team player, Al-Mundhir Al-Alawi, was sent off play. This was for the advantage of controlling the ball and creating opportunities in favor of the Saudi national team, but it was unable to score, so the first 45 minutes ended in a null.
In the second half, despite the numerical shortage of the Omani national team, it managed to score two goals against the Saudi national team by Arshad Al-Alawi and Ali Al-Busaidi from a set kick and a shot inside the penalty area in the 74th and 85th minutes.
The Saudi national team reduced the difference to one goal through Muhammed Kano in the 87th minute from a shot outside the box, but it was unable to adjust the result.
The Omani national team reached the final of the Gulf 26 held in Kuwait, to face the winner of the match between the Kuwaiti national team and its Bahraini competitor.
