Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Saturday, that the government has provided everything necessary to secure an advanced pharmaceutical industry in Iraq while indicating that the volume of Kimadia contracts jumped from 10% to 35% with local national companies.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met with a group of Iraqi female doctors," noting that "al-Sudani appreciated the great role played by medical staff, especially female doctors; as they have the highest percentage compared to male doctors in providing health services in all their forms to all citizens, while harnessing efforts and capabilities to establish an advanced and integrated national health system.".
He added that "al-Sudani recalled the role and tasks of medical staff in confronting the challenges of terrorism, and the stage that witnessed the liberation battles, stressing that the important role of the Iraqi female doctor was present, pointing to the status of women in society and what they represent as a priority for the government, which is not a slogan but a responsibility."
Al-Sudani indicated - according to the statement - that "the government has moved in several paths to develop the health sector, especially by completing the infrastructure of hospitals under construction and health centers and establishing new hospitals, stressing the introduction of three hospitals into service in the capital, Baghdad, during the current year."

- The health insurance law is an important step in the health sector, and the government has provided the necessary allocations to provide services to citizens.
- Our government has raised the title of service, and all partners are cooperating with it to achieve this goal.
- The best way to strengthen the relationship between the citizen and the state is through providing health services.
- We did not expect to deal with lagging hospitals as if they were affiliated with previous governments, but rather we worked to complete them.
- We adopted the joint management and operation system; to provide the best services to citizens and gain experience, and it was activated in seven hospitals.
- We have achieved a significant leap in localizing the pharmaceutical industry, and there is a great response from pharmaceutical industry producers.
- The government has provided everything necessary to secure an advanced pharmaceutical industry in Iraq, through decisions issued by the Council of Ministers.
