Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim described the arrest of the killers of Hisham Al-Hashemi as a heroic act and a qualitative shift in intelligence performance.

Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the arrest of the killers of the martyr Hisham Al-Hashemi is a heroic act that represents a qualitative shift in the information-intelligence performance of our heroic security services."

He added, "The success of this effort is a reason to consolidate and strengthen it with similar steps to arrest those behind the assassinations of activists, demonstrators, journalists and owners of free opinion throughout Iraq so that the blood of the oppressed does not go in vain."

Al-Hakim called for announcing the results of the investigation into many accidents and cases that occurred, especially the tragic fire of Imam Hussein Hospital, "peace be upon him" in Dhi Qar and others, and bringing the perpetrators to justice, praising any effort that seeks to achieve truth and redress for the blood of the oppressed, their families and their orphans.

And earlier, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) published the full details of the so-called Ahmed Al-Kinani, the killer of the security and strategic expert Hisham Al-Hashemi.

According to the confessions of Al-Kinani, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the latter was born in 1985 and belongs to an outlaw group.

The so-called Ahmed al-Kinani admitted that he was "appointed to the police force in 2007 and works as a police officer with the rank of first lieutenant in the Ministry of Interior."

The so-called Ahmed al-Kinani said: "We gathered in the Al-Buaitha area and went with two bikes and a Corola wheel to carry out the assassination."
