Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has been nominated for two prestigious awards at the annual Globe Soccer Awards.
Founded in 2010, the Globe Soccer Awards are organized by Globe Soccer and involves participation from international football organizations such as UEFA in an annual event held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The selection process for award recipients involves two stages of voting, in which the first sees the public selects the finalists from a set of nominees, before the final decision is made in the second stage by both public votes and a jury comprising football professionals such as journalists, agents, coaches, and ex-players.
Egypt and Liverpool start Mohamed Salah has managed to earn himself a nomination for two awards, the first being, Best Men’s Player of the Year.
Salah is one of eight Premier League stars to make the list, alongside Cole Palmer, Rodri, William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, and Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.
Vinicuis Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Harry Kane are also some of the other names that have made the shortlist.
Mohamed Salah is also a canididate to win the Best Forward award, which will see him compete with the likes of Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, and Vinicius Junior.
