National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji affirmed, on Tuesday, Iraq's firm position of rejecting the use of Iraqi lands and airspace to attack neighboring countries and the region.
Al-Araji said in a tweet on the "X" platform - followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We concluded our official visit to Tehran, during which we held fruitful meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Iranian military officer and secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC)Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, and Commander of the Quds Force, General Esmail Qaani."
He added: "We renewed Iraq's firm and principled position of rejecting the use of Iraqi lands and airspace by any party to attack neighboring countries and the region. We also stressed the need to preserve the borders, prevent smuggling operations, combat drug mafias, and the importance of coordination and joint cooperation to increase international pressure to stop the war on Gaza and Lebanon."
