Liverpool FC continues to intensify its efforts to sign French star Ryan Cherki, a player for Olympique Lyonnais, who is also a major target for Real Madrid.

According to DaveOCKOP, Liverpool are looking to strengthen their ranks during the upcoming winter transfer window by signing the young midfielder. Sharqi, 21, has been performing well this season, having made 17 appearances for Lyon in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists.

Despite Sharqi's contract with Olympique Lyonnais that runs until June 2026, Liverpool are showing great seriousness in their negotiations, which gives them an advantage over Paris Saint-Germain, who have also entered the competition to sign the player.

The network confirmed that "Liverpool's seriousness may enable them to conclude the deal before Real Madrid wins it. Sharqi's market value is estimated at 30 million euros, according to the "Transfer Market" website.
