Real Madrid want at least €10 million for out-of-favour star amid AC Milan interest

Dani Ceballos finds himself at a crossroads again heading into the summer transfer window, with his Real Madrid career progressing nowhere.
The 27-year-old Spaniard was in a similar juncture last year as well and opted to sign a new contract with the club rather than leaving as a free agent.
However, a couple of injury problems and the intense competition for places has meant that Ceballos has hardly featured meaningfully under Carlo Ancelotti this term.
As such, a summer departure now looms large for the Spaniard and there appears to be no shortage of suitors for the midfielder.

AC Milan interested

Earlier today, we reported that Real Madrid’s local rivals, Atletico Madrid, are interested in signing Dani Ceballos in the summer.
Now, AS has come up with an update, claiming that Italian giants AC Milan are also keen on signing the Spanish international.
The Rossoneri were looking to sign Ceballos a couple of years back in 2022 and have not forgotten about the ex-Real Betis midfielder.

Milan want a loan deal, Real Madrid prefer sale

Real Madrid and Milan share a great relationship and have worked on multiple operations in the past – Theo Hernandez’s sale and the loan deals of Brahim Diaz and Alex Jimenez.

But there is a principle difference in how they wish to approach the deal for Ceballos in the summer.

AC Milan are looking to sign the midfielder only on a loan deal whereas Real Madrid would prefer a permanent sale.

In fact, it is even suggested that Los Blancos want to recoup at least €10 million from the Spaniard’s departure.
Whether the two clubs are able to work past these differences and execute the deal remains to be seen.
