Prime Minister congratulates national team on victory over Yemeni counterpart

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani congratulated the national football team on Sunday on its victory over its Yemeni counterpart, in the 26th Gulf Championship.

Al-Sudani stated in a tweet on the "X" platform, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "all congratulations and blessings to our national football team, on the occasion of its victory, at the beginning of its journey, in the 26th Gulf Championship, in the State of Kuwait."

He added, "We salute all the efforts of the players and the coaching staff, and we affirm our continued support for them in all tournaments, and thanks to our fans, and to our people, as they support the Lions of Mesopotamia in all forums and from different places."
