President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid confirmed on Wednesday that the Fayli Kurds are an authentic and fundamental component of Iraq, and it is imperative to work to guarantee their legitimate rights.

Rashid said in a post on the X platform, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "On Fayli Martyr's Day, we remember with great reverence the martyrs who died on the path to the nation's freedom, recalling the historical roles of the Fayli Kurds and their struggle against the tyrannical regime and the great sacrifices they made, especially in the forced deportation operations."

Rashid added, "Fayli Kurds are an authentic and fundamental component of Iraq, and it is imperative to work to guarantee their legitimate rights and their participation in political life in a way that contributes to Iraq's progress and advancement and prevents the return of dictatorship."
