PM returns to Baghdad after concluding his visit to Nineveh Governorate

    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani returned to the capital Baghdad on Sunday evening after concluding his visit to Nineveh Governorate.
     
    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani returned to the capital, Baghdad, after concluding his visit to Nineveh Governorate, which included the following:
     Launched phase one construction of the North Thermal Power Plant, designed to generate 700 megawatts, as part of the project’s overall capacity of 1,400 megawatts.
     
     Launched the construction of the Local Administration Stadium and the indoor sports hall, with directives to maximize the stadium’s spectator capacity.
     
     Launched construction and development for the riverfront rehabilitation project In the old city of western Mosul.
     
     Conducted a field follow-up of the Mosul International Airport Reconstruction Project, which has reached over 80% completion, and directed its inauguration by June 10.
     
     Reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation works for the ancient Nineveh Wall.
     
     Inaugurated the new Nineveh Governorate Building.
     
     Announced the launch of a series of new projects in Nineveh Province, including infrastructure initiatives, phase two of the ring road project, and the transformation of Qayyarah Military Base into a model base.
     
     Chaired a meeting of security and military commanders in the province.
     
    Met with tribal leaders and representatives of Nineveh’s diverse ethnic and community groups.
