The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, stressed today, Thursday, that the transition in Syria must be comprehensive, reliable and peaceful.
Guterres said in a press statement - followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There should be no forces in the demilitarized zone in the Golan Heights other than peacekeeping forces."
He added, "The transition in Syria must be comprehensive, reliable and peaceful."
He pointed out that "Syria's sovereignty, territorial unity and territorial integrity must be fully restored and an immediate end must be put to all acts of aggression."
