The President of the Supreme Judicial Council arrives in Moscow

    The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, arrived in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Tuesday.


    Zidane arrived in Moscow at the head of a high-level judicial delegation visiting the Russian Federation based on the invitation extended by the Presidency of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to enhance judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement by the media of the judiciary - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.


    The statement pointed out that "the visiting delegation included the Chief Public Prosecutor, the Head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, the Presidents of the Courts of Appeal (Basra - Qadisiyah), and the Director General of the General Judicial Guards Department. The delegation was received by the First Deputy President of the Russian Supreme Court, Yuri Ivanenko, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Mikhail Baskakov."
