The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, confirmed on Tuesday that Lebanon is on the brink of a large-scale war, and it is time to stop it.
Guterres said in a statement on the anniversary of October 7th: "The nightmare in Gaza is now entering its second ugly and hateful year."
"The residents of the north in Gaza are suffering severely with the intensification of military operations by the Zionist entity," he added, stressing that "the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries must be respected."
Guterres strongly condemned "all violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza."
He warned that the situation in Lebanon is on the brink of a large-scale war, and it is time to stop it.
