The Joint Operations Command confirmed, today, Sunday, that the security forces continue to pursue remnants of ISIS gangs and cleanse the lands of remnants of terrorism.
The command said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In a qualitative operation based on accurate intelligence information, the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service, through the First Anbar Counter-Terrorism Regiment, carried out a duty within the framework of inspection campaigns of guesthouses and caves used by ISIS terrorist gangs in Anbar desert, north of Rutba in Anbar Governorate."
It added, "Two abandoned vehicles, a motorcycle, 5 explosive devices, an RBG7 launcher with 3 launcher missiles, 4 blasting, and 8 detonators were found, in addition to various logistical and technical materials," noting that "the seized materials were dealt with according to approved procedures."
According to the statement "our heroic security forces continue to pursue remnants of ISIS gangs and cleanse the lands of remnants of terrorism."
