The Arab League confirmed, today, Wednesday, that it will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow, Thursday, at the level of permanent delegates to discuss the humanitarian situation in Lebanon at the invitation of Iraq.
A statement by the Arab League received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "Tomorrow, Thursday, an emergency meeting will be held at the level of permanent delegates to discuss the humanitarian situation in Lebanon at the invitation of Iraq submitted to the Council of the Arab League."
According to the statement "Iraq called for holding an extraordinary session at the level of delegates of the member states of the Arab League to discuss the military escalation of the Zionist entity against the Republic of Lebanon and the humanitarian repercussions and to discuss how to help the displaced and refugees and deliver urgent medical aid and food to those affected in Lebanon and call on the international community to stand with the Lebanese people and contribute with international organizations to deliver urgent aid as soon as possible."
"It was agreed, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Arab League, to hold the meeting tomorrow, Thursday."
