Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdul Aati and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi warned on Tuesday against the continued Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.

"The Jordanian and Egyptian positions are one towards what is happening in the region, and the red lines for the two countries are one," said Safadi - according to a statement issued by the Jordanian Foreign Ministry during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdul Aati.

He added, "The issue of displacement is something that the Zionist entity is preparing for. What is happening in Gaza, and there is clear talk of emptying northern Gaza of its residents, we will confront the attempt to push the Palestinians out of their homeland. The Gaza Strip cannot be reoccupied in whole or in part."

Safadi indicated that "Egypt is the most affected by what is happening in Gaza, appreciating Egypt's support for Jordan's positions towards what is happening in the West Bank, Al-Quds and its holy sites," noting that "Jordan and Egypt warned that the continuation of the aggression will escalate towards a regional escalation from which no one will be spared."

Regarding the war on Lebanon, Safadi said that "the Jordanian and Egyptian positions are identical regarding the war on Lebanon. The priority is to stop this war and avoid its spread," stressing "Jordan's support for what the Lebanese agree upon by electing a president for the republic, and there is an urgent need for sufficient aid."

In turn, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdul Aati said, "We discussed the overall regional situation, its recent developments, and its repercussions on the countries of the region. We stressed the need to stop the brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip and the violations committed by the occupation authorities in East of Al-Quds."
