Minister of Transport Announces Reopening of Airspace

    Minister of Transport Razak Mohibis Al-Saadawi announced the complete restoration of flight operations across all Iraqi airports following a period of disruption due to regional tensions.

    In a statement from the ministry's media office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), it was confirmed that "after overcoming all potential risks that could have affected the security and safety of civil aviation in Iraq, the Minister of Transport has authorized the reopening of Iraqi airspace to civilian aircraft transiting through or flying to and from Iraqi airports."

    The statement further indicated that "the General Company for Airports and Air Navigation has commenced operations to receive incoming and outgoing flights and manage Iraqi airspace," noting that "the Iraqi Airways will resume its flights and activate routes to all destinations in conjunction with the reopening of Iraqi airspace to aircraft movement."
