The Border Ports Commission -BPC announced on Saturday, the statistic of the pilgrims entered to Iraq during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, over the course of 18 days.
Aladdin Al-Qaisi, spokesperson for BPC, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that from August 6 to August 23, 2024, a total of 3,367,449 pilgrims entered Iraq through ten border crossings, including Safwan, Shalamcheh, Al-Sheeb, Zurbatiyah, Al-Mundhiriya, Al-Qaim, Baghdad Airport, Al-Najaf Airport, Hajj Omran, and Bashmagh.
He also noted that during the same period, 2,221,070 pilgrims departed through these crossings.
