Prime Minister Al-Sudani Inspects Karbala International Airport Facilities, Directs Implementation of Optimal Management Practices
 
 
This morning, Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani and his accompanying delegation landed at Karbala International Airport, marking a significant milestone as the project reaches advanced stages of completion.
 
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),""Upon arrival, the Prime Minister held a meeting attended by the Minister of Interior, the Governor of Karbala, the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, as well as several advisors, general directors, project officials, and representatives from the executing company."
 
The statement added,” He expressed his pleasure at landing on the airport's runway and praised the efforts of the involved ministries, the contributing Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Administration, the local government of Karbala, and the federal ministries for their contributions towards completing this strategic project he described the airport as a significant and bright international gateway for Iraq, serving as a portal to welcome pilgrims from all over the world.”
 
It added,”The Prime Minister toured the airport's facilities, sections, and operational areas, meeting with the engineering teams involved in the project he also received a comprehensive briefing on the progress of the work, which is nearing completion.”
 
 The Prime Minister expressed,” his hope that the airport would be operational in time for the upcoming Arba'een pilgrimage.”
 
Prime Minister Al-Sudani directed ,”that a regular meeting be held every two months to monitor the progress of work at Karbala International Airport, as well as at Nasiriyah and Mosul International Airports. He emphasized the importance of swiftly ensuring the airport's management and operations meet international standards for air transport services.”
