The Iraqi Airways counted today, Thursday, the number of its aircraft entering service, indicating that 5 aircraft will be added to the Iraqi fleet by the end of 2024.
The company's general manager, Manaf Abdul-Moneim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Since we took over the management of Iraqi Airways, the number of operating aircraft was only 15, but now the number of aircraft has become 25, as 10 aircraft have been returned to service."
He added, "The plan prepared until the end of 2024 will include adding 5 aircraft, bringing the number to 30 aircraft."
He pointed out that "the number of remaining aircraft is 9, which will be scheduled within the 2025 plan."
He stressed that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is interested in Iraqi Airways as a front for Iraq, and he is keen to raise it to the highest levels."
