Supreme Judicial Council SJC issued on Thursday a directive to deal well with scientific and academic figures hired by the courts.
According to a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Supreme Judicial Council held its thirteenth session under the chairmanship of the President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Judge Faiq Zaidan, during which a number of judges and members of the Public Prosecution were promoted and the formations of some courts were approved according to the proposal submitted by the Presidency of Appeal."
The statement added that "the mandate of a number of judges and members of the Public Prosecution was approved and terminated based on the requirements of the public interest."
It added that "the Council presented a memorandum by the Chairman of the Judicial Supervision Authority on his participation in the training program held in the Qatari capital - Doha, using artificial intelligence techniques in the justice sector, so the Council directed the establishment of workshops in all presidencies of appeal to discuss the use of artificial intelligence technology and its application in the judiciary."
According to the statement, the council stressed "directing judges to deal well with scientific and academic figures from experts hired by the courts in a way that ensures the preservation of their social status."
