7 ISIS elements arrested in Kirkuk

The Military Intelligence Directorate announced, today, Friday, the arrest of 7 members of ISIS terrorist gangs in Kirkuk Governorate.

The Directorate stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "in implementation of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to intensify intelligence efforts and eliminate terrorism and its sources, the heroes of the Military Intelligence Directorate carried out several qualitative operations that resulted in the arrest of (7) terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judiciary according to the provisions of Article (4 / Terrorism) in the areas of Justice and June 1 in Kirkuk Governorate, who belonged to and worked in the ranks of the terrorist ISIS organization."

The statement added that "one of them was working as a transporter of people, weapons, equipment and logistical materials," indicating that "these operations came according to accurate intelligence information from the Intelligence Division of the Eighth Division, and they were handed over to the relevant authorities in the field and principle."
