The Ministry of Transportation announced on Thursday that the opening of the Sawa - Hijama railway project will be next year.
The director of relations and media at the Ministry of Transport, Maytham al-Safi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The new year will witness the opening of the Sawa- Hijama railway project, which is one of the important projects, after the completion rates reached 100% after what was one of the lagging projects."
"The minister's visit to these projects is a positive factor and an incentive for employees, stakeholders and executing companies to expedite work and completion directly," he said.
