MOT announces the resumption of the national carrier’s flights with Malaysia

    The Ministry of Transport announced, today, Thursday, the resumption of the national carrier’s flights between Iraq and Malaysia.

    Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Airways, Manaf Abdel Moneim, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The General Company for Iraqi Airways has embarked on its first direct flights from Baghdad International Airport to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.”

    Abdel Moneim added, “The return to operation of this vital line took place according to the plan whose implementation is directly supervised by the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, which includes expanding the network of travel destinations on board the national carrier’s fleet, and providing more options for travelers from Iraqi airports to various regional and international destinations.”

    He continued, "The first phase of operation will be one flight per week, with the hope of doubling the number of flights," noting that "the aircraft that will be allocated to serve this vital line are the Dreamliner model, which will provide high luxury and Internet service to passengers throughout the duration of the flight." ".
