The Iraqi National Olympic Committee today, Thursday, invited the Iraqi community in Europe to support the Olympic team during its matches in the Paris Olympics based on the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, stressing that the directive included the government's responsibility to purchase tickets to attend the matches for the community.
The head of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Dr Aqil Muftan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, the Iraqi National Olympic Committee invites the Iraqi community in Europe to support the Olympic team in the Paris Olympics during the start of its matches in the Olympic competitions in the French city of Lyon on July 24." He added, "The Iraqi government, in by the directives of the Prime Minister, will undertake the purchase of tickets to attend the team's matches for the public, and the Olympic Committee will coordinate to implement these directives."
