Darjal: We have high confidence in reaching the Paris Olympics

The President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Adnan Darjal, confirmed today, Thursday, that the Federation has high confidence in the capabilities of the training staff and Olympic team players to reach the Paris Olympics. 

A statement from the Football Association, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “The President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Adnan Darjal, met with the training staff of the Olympic team and the players at the delegation’s residence, in the presence of the Federation member, head of the delegation, Ghanem Uraibi, and the team’s administrative director, Abdul-Jabbar Hashem.”.

The President of the Federation affirmed, “We have high confidence in the capabilities of the good training staff and the players who are competent and skilled in reaching the Paris Olympics. Our confidence came from our belief in your competence and capabilities, and that you possess many distinguished qualifications.”.

He added, "Our ball deserves to be present at the Olympics to confirm the state of development it has been witnessing in the recent period, but that requires focus and commitment to the coach's instructions and making more efforts and enthusiasm in training and matches, to surpass the rest of the participating teams.

The Federation President pointed out, "Our national team's victory over Japan In the Asian Cup, he reversed the equation and stressed that there is no great player on the continent, and the technical levels are witnessing a state of technical convergence, so we must enter the tournament as strong competitors to snatch one of the passes to the Olympics.

For his part, Federation member Ghanem Oreibi said: “The history of our teams’ participation The qualifying finals for the Olympics are studded with brilliant successes, and we look forward with a high spirit to renew them after providing all the requirements for success to the team from the federation, as well as following up on the coaching staff of the players in the previous period.”.

He explained, “Hopes are placed on the team to reach the Paris Olympics despite the difficulty of the task, But the ingenuity of the coaching staff and the skills and enthusiasm of the players will contribute to achieving the desired goal.”.

In turn, the coach of the Olympic team, “Radi Shenaishil,” expressed his thanks for the great support that the team receives from the President of the Federation, Adnan Darjal, and his continuous efforts to overcome all the difficulties facing the team, and his presence at the camp. The national team and its presence in training is an important moral factor that pushes the players to do their best and snatch victory.”.

He explained, “The federation provided good training camps and strong friendly matches, and we seek to demonstrate these positives in the championship matches and win one of the passes to the Olympics.”
