The Vice President of the Iraqi Swimming Federation, Hashim Muhammad, confirmed today, Saturday, that the efforts of the Olympic Committee resulted in the qualification of the player Hassan Ali Khalil for the Olympics.
Mohammed said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The continuous efforts and strenuous endeavours made by the Iraqi National Olympic Committee resulted in the qualification of player Hassan Ali Khalil to the Paris Olympics at the end of this July, through free cards in a four-party agreement between the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, the International Olympic Committee, the game's federation, and the International Swimming Federation.".
Mohammed added, "Swimmer Hassan Ali Khalil, who will participate in the 100m butterfly race at the Paris Olympics, is expected to join an external training camp as soon as possible; to prepare optimally before starting to participate in the Olympic Games at the end of this July," indicating that "swimmer Hassan Ali Khalil recently participated in the World Swimming Championships held in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the participation of an elite group of the best swimmers in the world."
