Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, announced on Tuesday, the details of the plan to 15th of Shaaban, while indicating that there are high preparations to implement the plan.
Al-Muhammadawi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on the sidelines of his visit to Holy Karbala, accompanied by the Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah: “The goal of our pilgrimage to the Holy Karbala Governorate is to review the plan for the to 15th of Shaaban,” indicating that “the units of military in Holy Karbala from the Ministries of Interior and Defense and the Popular Mobilization Forces has a lot of experience in managing such events.”
The statement stated that “the Popular Mobilization Forces axis located in the middle Euphrates sector, along with the Abbas Combat Division, have high preparations, whether at the combat, technical, administrative, or logistical levels, to manage the visit,” pointing out that “all things are proceeding normally as planned, and there are no road closures in the area the pilgrimage is according to what was planned by the Holy Karbala Operations Command.”
