According to reports from Spain, Barcelona are keen on a move for a Liverpool star in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona will be looking for reinforcements in the summer after their less than convincing season in 2023/24.

The Catalan club find themselves 10 points adrift of league leaders Real Madrid and are already out of the Copa Del Rey.

Furthermore, they have a stern test against Napoli in the round of 16 of the Champions League – meaning they could easily only win the Spanish Super cup this season.

Manager Xavi Hernandez has already confessed that he, like Jurgen Klopp, will be stepping down from his role at the end of the season.

In preparing for the new season, Barcelona reportedly want to address the imbalances on the wings – with Lamine Yamal being the club’s only natrual winger.
This is according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim that Barcelona have identified none other than Mohamed Salah to bolster their ranks on the wing.

    BARCELONA ADMIRE MOHAMED SALAH

If the report is to be believed, the Catalan club will sign a left-winger for next season – but also would not mind a winger that can operate on both flanks.

Barcelona have plenty of options already listed, with the likes of Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
However, the decision-makers at the La Liga club consider the Egyptian as the best option to sign and play on either wing.
But Barcelona are well aware of how much Salah would cost – both to pry him from Liverpool and then to satisfy his wage demands.
Therefore, owing to the exiting financial troubles at the Camp Nou, Barca consider Mohamed Salah as ‘impossible’.
The 31-year-old has been a major part of why the Reds are currently sitting atop of the Premier League table.

The winger has scored 18 goals and set up nine assists from 27 games across all competitions.
It would be pretty difficult to imagine Mohamed Salah landing up at Barcelona in the summer.
Liverpool’s No.11 knows how much he is revered at Anfield, and the grass is not always greener on the other side.
What is interesting to note is that Barcelona do regard Salah very highly, and would be reportedly be their top target if Barcelona were in a financial position to act.
