Barcelona seeks to sign a Liverpool star to strengthen its ranks

Barcelona's new coach, Xavi Hernandez, seeks to restore his team's ranks by strengthening it with new players . 

The  "liverpoolecho" website stated that Xavi admires Barcelona academy graduate, Spanish international Thiago Alcantara, who is currently playing in the Liverpool midfield, and wants to return him to the "Camp Nou" again . 

Alcantara joined Liverpool last year, for 20 million pounds, and the Spaniard has not yet provided what was expected of him, and the curse of injuries has pursued him since his move to the "Reds ". 

Alcantara also made his first match for Barcelona in the world in 2009, and played alongside Xavi for four years . 

It should be noted that Barcelona announced yesterday, Friday, the conclusion of its first deal under the leadership of Xavi, by signing the former team player, the veteran Brazilian right-back, Dani Alves .
