2 terrorists taken into custody in Kirkuk, Dhi Qar

The Ministry of Defense's General Directorate of Intelligence and Security DGIS, declared on Monday that two terrorists had been taken into custody in Kirkuk and Dhi Qar.

The directorate said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "detachments of the Kirkuk Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with DGIS in the Ministry of Defense, were able to arrest a terrorist in Kirkuk, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 / terrorism)."

The statement further stated that "the detachments of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of Dhi Qar affiliated to the same directorate, were able to arrest one of the wanted individuals by the courts in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 / terrorism) while he was in the district of Shatrah in Dhi Qar province," stating that "the necessary legal measures have been taken against them to complete their investigative papers."
