The investigation committee of Al-Hussein Hospital fire met with the sheikhs of Dhi Qar tribes.

The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that the ministerial committee charged with investigating the fire incident in the COVID-19 ward met with the sheikhs of the Dhi Qar tribes.

Earlier, Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, chaired an emergency meeting regarding the fire incident at Al-Hussein(p) Hospital in Nasiriyah and took a number of decisions.

The meeting decided to conduct a high-level government investigation, to find out the causes of the accident, and to send a government team immediately to Dhi Qar province to oversee the procedures on the ground.

The Director of Dhi Qar's Health, the Director of the Hospital and the Director of Civil Defense were suspended from their duties and referred to the investigation.

various ministries were directed to send urgent medical and relief assistance to Dhi Qar province.

The victims of the incident were considered martyrs, sending the wounded in critical condition outside Iraq and declare the official mourning for the lives of the martyrs of the incident.
