INA- BAGHDAD
The Joint Operations Command declared on Thursday that ISIS gang dens had been destroyed in three provinces and that their logistical supply routes had been severed.
In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Command stated: "Under the direction of the Joint Operations Command's targeting cell, our security forces are still pursuing elements of the vanquished ISIS gangs and encircling their den locations in certain intricate and challenging terrain. This is done in an effort to catch terrorist groups off guard, as well as the enemy's hideouts and dens in Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, and Diyala operations groups' artillery battalions.
The statement proceeded, "The qualitative strikes were carried out with the iron hammer weapon against specific targets and with precise intelligence information; preliminary reports indicate that these actions were successful in immobilizing these elements and demolishing their dens."
"To examine the combat readiness system and the continuation of readiness and as part of field training, this operation, carried out by the operations command, comes under the supervision of the commanders of the artillery battalions in the above divisions," the statement continued.
