The so-called commander of Waqf of ISIS terrorist gangs was killed in Diyala, according to a statement released today, Sunday, by Major General Yehia Rasool, the Spokesman for the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
"According to the commander-in-chief of the armed forces' directives, and after coordination with the Joint Operations Command, F-16 aircraft last night hit an important den in the village of Al-Quba in Diyala, after participating in the grand army parade," Major General Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He said that, "After the operation this morning, a security force arrived to inspect the targeted area. They discovered four ISIS terrorist gang members' bodies, destroyed weapons and equipment. Preliminary reports indicate that Majid Maiouf, a known criminal from the Waqf sector, is among the dead."
"The combined efforts of the security and intelligence services had a significant influence on eliminating Daesh gangs who would not be safe in Iraq, the land that gave birth to heroes who know only victory," he made clear.
