Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received, at his residence in the capital, London, today, Wednesday, the CEO of Shell Oil Company, Wael Sawan.
The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received, at his residence in the capital, London, the CEO of Shell Oil Company, Wael Sawan."
The statement added that "during the meeting, the cooperation between Iraq and the company, which is one of the most important oil, gas and petrochemical companies in the world, was discussed, especially since the government announced many investment opportunities in these sectors."
The CEO of the company announced - according to the statement - "the readiness to increase investments in Iraq, especially in the field of associated gas, in addition to investing in the free gas sector, for which the government has offered a licensing round to invest in several regions of Iraq."
