Commission of Integrity: Lifting the immunity of MP, "the former Governor of Salah al-Din"

    The Commission of Integrity revealed on Monday, a decision to lift the immunity from one of the MPs, on charges of deliberately causing damage to public funds.

    " Al-Karkh Investigation Court in Baghdad issued a decision to lift the immunity one of the MPs, who was holding the position of the former governor of Salah al-Din, due to causing damage to public funds," The Commission's Investigation Department stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    It added, "The decision came as a result of the information proven in the audit report issued by the Ministry of Health, which includes Salah al-Din province using the job grades of the Health Department in the governorate without its approval."

    It explained, " the decision based on Article (340) of the amended Iraqi Penal Code No. (111 of 1969)."
