Integrity Commission: An arrest warrant for a former deputy from Nineveh Governorate

    The Integrity Commission announced today, Thursday, the issuance of an arrest warrant for a former deputy from Nineveh Governorate.
     
    The Commission said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): The Commission's Investigation Department, while discussing the details of the case, indicated that the judge of Nineveh Investigation Court specialized in integrity issues had issued an arrest warrant against a former member of Parliament from Nineveh Governorate; based on the provisions of article 340 of the Penal Code in the criminal case concerning the receipt of the salaries of protection guards, despite their being missing after ISIS took control of the province. "
     
    The Integrity Commission also added that "Article (340) of the Penal Code stipulates that "Any employee or person assigned to a public service who willfully causes damage to the funds or interests of the entity in which he works or is connected to by virtue of his position or the funds of the persons entrusted to him shall be punished with imprisonment for a period not exceeding seven years."
