Baghdad-INA
The Nineveh Court of Inquiry on integrity cases issued on Tuesday an arrest warrant for former MP (Maysa Yahya Abdul Razzaq).
"It has issued an arrest warrant against former MP (Maysa Yahya Abdul Razzaq) based on the provisions of article 340 of the Penal Code," the court said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"This came against the backdrop of the charges against the MP (Abdul Razzaq) in the case of receiving the allowances of individuals from her protection staff, despite the fact that they have been missing for some time now in the control of the Nineveh province by ISIS," the statement said.
"Article (340) of the Penal Code stipulates that any employee or public servant who deliberately harms the funds or interests of the person in which he or she works or relates to him or her shall be punished by imprisonment by virtue of his or her employment or the funds of the persons assigned to him," the statement added.
